I've become way less fussy as I've gotten older.
Yesterday we had two tastings for wedding cake. Talk about polar opposites. One was in a very posh dining room, with George at the far end of a large table, and the cake presented prettily. The second was in an industrial kitchen, with plain plates and utensils and a bunch of sweet stuff. I liked #2. I guess I am not a "cake as art" kinda person. Whew.
One detail down, a hundred million more to go...

Well, I did my own flowers for our wedding. Everyone thought I was the florist not the bride. LOL. I also was a very low key bride. I didn't even freak when my mom's friends put flowers on the cake and there weren't suppose to be any! LOL
Yeah, I was low key too. I had Shikie's sister's friend make my cake. Phew! What a long time ago it all seems like.
When can we all expect OUR invitations Laura (just kidding!!!)
Sarah
As long as you don't turn into bridezilla you'll be fine. My great aunt made our wedding cake and all I care about was that it had to be chocolate. You know my Mom still has the top of our cake in her freezer. I'm not eating 10 year old cake!
